Working Principle Of Heat Meters

Leave a message

Heat meters calculate energy consumption by measuring fluid flow rate and temperature changes. They are mainly divided into three types: turbine, vortex, and ultrasonic. Turbine heat meters use a rotating turbine to measure liquid flow rate (accuracy ±1%), combined with a temperature sensor (measurement range -40~150℃) to calculate thermal energy. Vortex heat meters determine flow rate based on the frequency generated by the vortex effect (applicable to pipe diameters DN15~DN300), and use temperature change data to achieve energy consumption analysis. Ultrasonic heat meters measure flow velocity through changes in sound speed (velocity range 0.01~12m/s), suitable for high-viscosity fluids. The workflow includes pipeline installation, fluid heating/cooling, real-time data acquisition and calibration correction (such as viscosity compensation), and finally outputs accurate energy consumption values (error ≤0.5%). They are widely used in the petrochemical industry (improving crude oil conversion rate), district heating systems (energy saving of over 30%), and the power sector (reducing CO₂ emissions).
