STS prepaid water meter relevant standards

STS Association Certificate of Compliance:

This is a certificate issued by the STS Association to confirm that prepaid water meters comply with the technical and safety standards set by the STS Association. These certificates demonstrate a product's compliance during design, manufacturing, and testing, ensuring that its use worldwide complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

IEC 62055 series of standards:

This series of standards covers the general requirements for prepaid systems, including hardware and software design, functionality, performance, security, and communication protocols.

IEC 62056 series of standards:

These standards are generally applicable to data exchange and communication protocols for metering equipment such as electricity, gas, and water meters, ensuring the interoperability of prepaid water meters and data management systems.

This standard specifies the performance requirements and test methods for automatic data exchange equipment used for water meters, gas meters, and heat meters to ensure measurement accuracy and data accuracy.

Install and maintain sts water meters

Preparation: First, check whether the specifications of the water meter are consistent with the installation requirements, and make sure that the water supply system is turned off to prevent water leakage. Before installation, prepare the necessary tools and materials. Note that the pipes need to be flushed before installation to avoid foreign objects such as gravel.

Disconnect the old water meter: Carefully remove the old water meter and ensure that the pipes and interfaces are clean and free of residual moisture. Check whether the pipes are damaged or worn, and repair or replace them if necessary.

Install the new water meter: Check whether the seals of the new water meter are intact and ensure that they are not damaged. Install the water meter correctly on the pipe according to the instructions, ensure that the water meter is aligned with the pipe, and the connection is tight to prevent water leakage. Note that the water meter must not be installed in places that may be affected by strong mechanical vibrations

Connect power and set up: If the STS water meter requires power, connect the power cord correctly and perform system settings, including configuration data and calibration, to ensure the function and accuracy of the water meter.

Test and check: Reopen the water source and check if there is any water leakage at the water meter installation site. Perform functional tests to ensure that the water meter can measure water normally and display data accurately.

Record and report: Record the initial reading and installation date of the water meter for follow-up tracking. If necessary, notify the water company or other relevant management department of the installation completion information to update the system data.

Cleaning work: After the installation is completed, clean up the installation site, dispose of the old water meter and other waste, and ensure the safety and cleanliness of the installation area. Note that if there is any failure during use, such as metering failure, please contact the relevant management department in time.
