One-meter-one-card systems refer to each user having a dedicated IC card for managing water fees, water consumption, and other information. Smart water meters, however, do not use a one-meter-one-card system; they employ other methods for data collection and transmission.
Smart water meters use Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) or Internet of Things (IoT) technology. They communicate with the water meter through a built-in module to collect and transmit data. Users can view water usage data, check and pay water bills, and perform other operations using a mobile app or website.
